Research

The Department is proud of its research program. We believe that its strength and reputation are why we have been able to attract into our graduate program students from over 27 countries. The faculty and graduate students carry out research under the banners of four research groups; namely, Canadian Centre for Geodetic Engineering, Geodetic Research Laboratory, Geographical Engineering Group, and Ocean Mapping Group.

Funding for research comes from a variety of sources. We are particularly proud to be associated with Canadian government departments, Canadian national, regional, and local organizations, industrial partners located across the country, and with governments, institutions, and industries of other countries.
