Programs

At the undergraduate level, the Department offers the Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.Sc.E.(Geomatics Engineering)) program. See the UNB undergraduate calendar for more information. Within this program, the Cadastral Surveying Option is available. This option is recognized by the Canadian Council of Land Surveyors. Four specified technical elective courses are required to have the notation, "Completed Cadastral Surveying Option," placed on the UNB transcript.

At the graduate program level, the Department offers the Master of Engineering (M.Eng.), Master of Science in Engineering (M.Sc.E.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programs. There are six major fields of specialization: namely, advanced engineering, mining surveying, and metrology; cadastral, land information, geographic information systems, and digital mapping; geodesy and precision navigation; hydrography and ocean mapping; mapping, charting, and geodesy; and photogrammetry and remote sensing.
