The
Center for Evolution and Cancer is the first such entity in the world
focusing on the fundamental evolutionary dynamics that drive
carcinogenesis, therapeutic resistance, and cancer susceptibility. The
CEC brings together researchers from across the world to accelerate
progress in cancer research, with the goal of employing evolutionarily
informed approaches to advance cancer research, cancer prevention, and
patient management.
This
website is associated with the Center for Evolution and Cancer (CEC)
within the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, at the
University of California, San Francisco.
Education and Outreach
In addition to facilitating interactions and
collaborations among researches with different backgrounds and fields
of expertise, CEC is supporting and organizing education and outreach
activities aimed at promoting evolutionary and interdisciplinary
approaches to cancer among educators, young scientists and the general
public.
