Amy Botta

Summer Student

I grew up in Saint John’s Newfoundland and at the age of 12 my family moved to Moncton New Brunswick. Currently I am entering my last year of my undergraduate degree in Biology- Chemistry. After working on the Bay of Fundy Mud Flats last summer, with Dr. Barbeau, I was given the chance to do something a little less muddy. So this summer I have been working on my honours thesis project which is co-supervised by Dr. Saunders and Dr. Barbeau. My project involves the genetic bar-coding of various species of snails from the genus Littorina found on both the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean.
