Dr. Luc THERIAULT

Luc Thériault holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Toronto. He is currently a Professor of Sociology at the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton). His previous academic appointment was with the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Regina, where his teaching focused on research methods, social policy, disability issues,  and comparative child welfare studies. In Regina, Luc also worked in government as a Senior Social Policy Researcher in the Research and Evaluation Branch of Saskatchewan Social Services. At UNB, he teaches courses in various areas including Canadian society, economic sociology, family and social policy, program evaluation, research methods, sociological theory, and the sociology of science. He is currently vice-president of ANSER (Association for Non-profit and Social Economy Research), a new learned society that participates in the annual Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences. Luc serves on the editorial board of the Canadian Journal of Nonprofit and Social Economy (ANSERJ), an online open access English and French peer-review publication. He is also Deputy Editor (for Canada) of the Journal of Co-operative Studies, a UK-based peer-review publication.
