Photo of Me

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of New Brunswick and a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of New Brunswick. I joined UNB in 2015 after working as a Professional Engineer in Alberta since 2010 when I completed my PhD at Dalhousie University. I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in structural analysis, random vibrations, finite element analysis, reliability of structures, operational and experimental modal analysis, and bridge engineering.

My research interests are on various structural engineering topics, including structural health monitoring, bridge engineering, system identification, reliability assessment of structures, and structural assessment of existing civil infrastructure using non-destructive condition monitoring and probabilistic modelling methods. I work with the public and private sectors to develop novel solutions for monitoring and evaluating large civil infrastructure, including buildings, bridges, and dams. My research group utilizes a range of technologies including high-performance computing, remote sensing, Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence.
