GPS Activities at FCT-UNESP SP-Brazil
Prof. Dr. João Francisco G. Monico

The status of the GPS activities being developed at Faculty of Science and Technology of São Paulo State University (FCT/UNESP) will be presented. They involve GPS applications for realization of geodetic reference system, Meteorology (GPS Meteorology) and ionosphere modeling. Concerning GPS error mitigation, we have been using wavelets and penalized least squares, which will be briefly presented as well as some the preliminary results related to the use of numerical weather model for computing tropospheric delays for positioning using RTK network. The permanent GPS network being set up at São Paulo State will be presented together with the products that may be available to the users. Additionally, the presentation will provide an overview of our Cartographic Science graduate program at FCT/UNESP, where most of the activities are being developed.
